Embark on a transformative journey as a Gap Year Volunteer—grow your skills, connect with a global community, and make a real difference while discovering your purpose.. We are offering English speaking internship opportunities for volunteers interested in gaining experience in humanitarian work. We have a variety of roles, from goods preparation for distribution, shipping, computing, our fair-trade marketplace, PC/IT support, communications, design, translation, accounting, administration, research, catering, hospitality and running experiential simulation programmes. The internship will require more or less a full year of commitment, on Tuesdays to Saturdays, 9:30am - 5:30pm. As a Crossroads’ intern you will work in a international environment, together with many other interns, learn about the varied needs in Hong Kong and from around the world. We don’t just give you busywork – you’ll play a genuine part in our operations, taking on tasks that matter and seeing the impact of your efforts

We provide vital aid for relief and development in over 90 countries and support vulnerable communities in Hong Kong. By redistributing quality goods and collaborating with NGOs, we tackle entrenched poverty and enhance sustainability. In times of crisis, we focus on disaster response and best practices. We are a crossroads between need and resource. As a Gap Year Volunteer, you’ll immerse yourself in a vibrant, English-speaking environment where cultures meet, ideas flow freely, and lifelong friendships are formed. You’ll be entrusted with real responsibilities—no busywork here—playing an active role in our operations and witnessing the tangible impact of your efforts. We value your individuality, so after getting to know you through an interview, we’ll tailor your role to match your unique skills, interests, and personality—whether you're a communicator, an organiser, a creative thinker, or someone who loves getting hands-on. Along the way, you’ll gain meaningful experience, build valuable skills, and grow in confidence, all while contributing to a cause bigger than yourself.
