Join Green Hour for a plogging event in the vibrant streets of Hong Kong! Get ready to combine fitness with greening our city as we hit the streets to clean up our city and stay active. What is Plogging? Plogging is a combination of jogging with picking up litter, merging the Swedish verb ‘plocka upp’ (pick up) and ‘jogging’ and it is more than just a workout – it's a movement towards a cleaner, greener world. Since 2018, we have been the leading organisation in hosting plogging events in Hong Kong. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking to make a difference, this event is perfect for all levels of fitness. Together, we'll jog, walk, or run while picking up trash along the way, making our city cleaner one step at a time. Join our community of eco-conscious individuals and let's sweat it out while greening our urban landscape. ⏰ Start/End Time: 08:30 - 10:00 📌 Meeting Point: Olympic Station Exit A2 📍 Plog Route: Tai Kok Tsui Promenade 📏 Plog Distance: 2.5km 🏃🏼 Plog Difficulty: Easy, light run Please note: For your safety, individuals with underlying heart conditions or other health concerns are advised not to participate in this event. On arrival, participants will be handed bags, gloves and other cleanup materials, so there is no need to bring anything except for a huge smile, a filled reusable water bottle and tons of energy! Get involved, get fit, and make a positive impact on Hong Kong with our plogging event. Together, we can keep our city clean, stay healthy, and have fun doing it! This event is catered to individuals and families, not companies or schools. If you represent a corporation or school and would like to arrange a managed cleanup for your staff, whether it be coastal, trails or urban cleanups, please reach out to hohk@handsonhongkong.org. Please note: Green Hour invites each participant to make a minimum $50 donation to help continue running these events. For domestic helpers, we welcome donations of $30.
