Remarks
- The online tutoring component of the 2025/26 IMPACT Mentorship Program was created to address the academic struggles of underprivileged primary school students in Hong Kong. Many of these students face learning challenges but lack access to affordable, individualized support outside the classroom. This initiative connects them with compassionate volunteer tutors who offer one-on-one academic help in core subjects like Chinese, English, and Mathematics.Tutors meet with students online at least twice a month to help them overcome learning obstacles, improve their academic confidence, and develop stronger study habits. In doing so, the program not only supports the students’ academic growth but also fosters meaningful connections that contribute to their overall motivation and well-being.This flexible, remote volunteering opportunity allows passionate individuals—whether in Hong Kong or abroad—to make a real difference in a student’s life, one session at a time. To ensure every online tutor feels confident and supported, we provide a comprehensive onboarding process before they begin. This includes a structured online training session covering effective tutoring strategies, communication techniques for working with younger students, and child safeguarding guidelines.
