Description
Our bicycle programme helps give donated bikes a second life by refurbishing and repairing them for distribution to people in need. Through this work, volunteers play a practical role in supporting environmental sustainability while helping provide affordable transportation to communities locally and overseas.
What we need:
Refurbishing and repairing donated bicycles for distribution
Overhauling abandoned bicycles by following the instructions and guidance of the manager
Assessing bicycles and carrying out maintenance and repair work
Supporting the workshop in ensuring bicycles are safe and ready for use
Volunteers are asked to commit to 1-2 days per week for approximately 3 months. Working hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and lunch is provided free of charge.
Prior bicycle maintenance experience is required. Additional training and guidance can be provided where needed to help volunteers develop their skills and become familiar with our processes.
If you would like to use your bike repair skills to support those in need, we would love to hear from you!
