Description
Description: Cognitive decline is a widespread problem that requires immediate attention. Preventive strategies can play an important role in reducing progressive decline and delaying or completely halting the transition of cognitive decline into dementia. This program provides training to seniors to preserve their cognitive conditions and enhance their brain functioning. Volunteer roles: A briefing session on game rules, communication and care tips will be given to volunteers before the activity starts. Volunteers will be asked to facilitate game tables, customize difficulty levels based on participants' abilities, and encourage seniors to participate. Volunteers will guide the elderly and play the games together in small teams, where they can also chit-chat with the seniors to enhance their social connections. All volunteers who attend this activity must be registered with HandsOn Hong Kong. If you wish to have a friend or family member join you on this activity, they must first register with HandsOn and sign up for the activity.
