Description
Provide simultaneous interpretation from Cantonese to English during our in-person event . Join us for a 15-30-minute call to learn more about our organization, the objectives and rundown of our event. Provide simultaneous interpretation services from Cantonese to English for the duration of the event, working collaboratively with other translators to ensure seamless coverage . Ensure that the interpretation is accurate and delivered in a manner that is easy for the audience to understand, particularly the key points from the event's discussions. The event is on 3 July (Thursday), 3:00-6:00 PM, please arrive at 2:00PM for preparation. Volunteers with 3 years of experience are preferred. If you are not available on 3 July but are interested in supporting future events, you are welcome to apply as we have more translation opportunities upcoming and we can keep you in mind for future sessions

- Time Auction is organizing an in-person event focused on the topic of Failure in the non-profit sector. To facilitate effective communication and learning among English speaking participants, the project of simultaneous translation during the event has been initiated. During this session, an experiential workshop will be led by School of Failure, followed by fellow NGO peers sharing their experiences and learnings related to non-profit failures. Volunteer interpreters will be providing real-time, accurate translation from Cantonese to English and vice versa, ensuring all participants can actively engage in this unique knowledge exchange process. A briefing call will be provided to align the expectations, objectives, and goals of the event. A guide on simultaneous translation best practices will also be shared. Our team will be supporting you and working with you align the way.
