Description
Description: On this Mong Kok Kindness Walk, you will see a wide range of individuals in great need and serve roughly 35 homeless individuals. You will support these needy by providing and distributing necessities including food, drink, toiletries, clothing and free laundry.
ImpactHK’s aim for these walks is to build trust through kindness. As a charity, they are on the streets at least once per day and their focus on building friendships in the hope of creating opportunities for change. In order to sustain housing and job creation initiatives by ImpactHK, we encourage each participant to donate $100 or more.
This walk starts from ImpactHK’s centre, The Guestroom, and takes 1 hour to complete. Please bring a reusable bag to carry the items to hand out.
This is a family friendly Kindness Walk. Parental guidance is required for volunteers who is under age of 16.
This activity welcomes families to sign up.The guardian should sign up to this activity (after registering with HandsOn Hong Kong) and then (1) sign up your child to the activity (after registering with HandsOn Hong Kong) or (2) send an email to hohk@handsonhongkong.org. Please note the minimum age for a child to join is above 6. Since volunteers are expected to carry and distribute necessity along the walks, please take your physical capacity into consideration, including taking care of your child.
All volunteers who attend this activity must be registered with HandsOn Hong Kong. If you wish to have a friend or family member join you on this activity, they must first register with Hands On and sign up for the activity.
