Description
Description: During the Sham Shui Po Kindness Walk, volunteers will serve around 100 homeless individuals, as well as a significant number of elderly residents and street cleaners. Alongside building connections with the homeless community, you will provide essential items such as food and drinks to those in need. ImpactHK aims to build trust through kindness during these walks. As a charity, they engage with the community on the streets daily, focusing on fostering friendships that provide individuals with a genuine second chance. To support their housing and job creation initiatives, we encourage each participant to contribute $100 or more. The walk begins at ImpactHK’s center and lasts nearly two hours. Please bring a reusable bag to carry the items you'll distribute. To ensure a positive experience for all volunteers and a better understanding of the situation, participants must be 15 years or older. This age requirement helps ensure that individuals are prepared for any unfamiliar situations that may arise during the activities, including witnessing instances of drug use. Remarks: Volunteers who age 15 years old and want to join this service, parental guidance is required. After successful registration of the guardian to this activity, please send an email to hohk@handsonhongkong.org to inquire for the availability. All volunteers who attend this activity must be registered with HandsOn Hong Kong. If you wish to have a friend or family member join you on this activity, they must first register with Hands On and sign up for the activity.
