Help clean the elderly homes in Central

Description: As Lunar New Year is coming, we need volunteers to help the elderly in the district to clean their hourseholds so as to release the pressure of the carers. 20 volunteer in pairs to visit 10 elderly households. At least one volunteer in each group can speak fluent Cantonese to facilitate communication with the elderly. Role of volunteers: 12:30pm - 1:00pm breifing 1:00pm - 2:00pm training on cleaning process 2:00pm - 5:00pm clean the elderly households Remark: Dangerous cleaning activities such as cleaning windows facing the street will not be carried out. One to two weeks before the activity, the social worker will visit the homes of the elderly in need to understand their cleaning needs. Generally, volunteers will clean areas that are difficult for the elderly to deal with, such as cleaning the cabinets and the kitchen. Volunteers won't be asked to clean the toilets, and remove electrical appliances and utensils. All volunteers who attend this activity must be registered with HandsOn Hong Kong. If you wish to have a friend or family member join you on this activity, they must first register with Hands On and sign up for the activity.
