Remarks
  • CODA Hong Kong is dedicated to providing diverse support services for the deaf and their families, promoting their social inclusion. To enrich the lives of the deaf and their caregivers and provide a platform for shared learning and interaction, our association plans to organize a series of sand art experience classes in May and June. Sand art not only cultivates participants' artistic sense and creativity but also fosters interaction and emotional exchange in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. We hope to recruit sand art volunteer instructors to provide professional guidance to different age groups of the deaf, deaf parents, and hearing caregivers, allowing them to experience the joy of sand art and gain inspiration and growth. This course will cover multiple groups, including deaf elderly, deaf parents, hearing adult/youth/child caregivers, aiming to build a closer inclusive community for both the deaf and hearing. Course objectives and background information of the students to help instructors understand the learning needs of different groups; basic teaching outlines and suggestions for the sand art experience classes; sand art materials and tools (such as sand, drawing boards, projection equipment, etc., specific details can be further discussed); our staff will provide administrative and communication support during the classes; a certificate of volunteer service hours to thank volunteers for their dedication.
