Be a helper for promoting green living in Kwun Tong

Program Description: This program aims to promote sustainable living through various activities at the Green Community Centre in Kwun Tong. This program focuses on reducing plastic waste by introducing alternative plastic products and usage methods through exhibitions and games to show that going plastic-free is easy. Workshops will also be held for participants to create their own plastic alternatives, and encourage them to donate second-hand items on exchange platforms to reduce waste. Volunteer roles: Nov 13th: -Responsible for preparing large-scale installations and materials needed for the carnival Nov 23th: - Responsible for games/workshops or second-hand store stalls - Assist with crowd control - Answer public inquiries Service Locations: Nov 13th: 27 Sheung Yee Road, Kowloon Bay Nov 23th: Dome-shape Open Area outside Kwai Tong House, Yau Tong Estate Remarks: 1. Volunteers will receive an allowance of HKD80 from Christian Family Service Centre after serving the whole day. 2. One-hour lunchtime is included in the service time. 3. Recommended to wear light clothing (such as sneakers) 4. Bring your own water bottle, sunscreen and mosquito repellent supplies All volunteers who attend this activity must be registered with HandsOn Hong Kong. If you wish to have a friend or family member join you, they must first register with HandsOn and sign up for the activity.
