Description: Elderly caregivers often find it difficult to ask for help even when they are physically and mentally exhausted while shopping for daily necessities. This activity invites volunteers to work in pairs to visit the elderly and assist them with their purchases. The center will provide a subsidy for each elderly recipent to help with their purchases.
Role of volunteers:
9:30pm - 10:00pm breifing
10:00pm - 10:30pm purchasing items
10:30pm - 12:30pm visit two elderly caregivers
Remark:
Volunteers can speak fluent Cantonese to facilitate communication with the elderly.
All volunteers who attend this activity must be registered with HandsOn Hong Kong. If you wish to have a friend or family member join you on this activity, they must first register with Hands On and sign up for the activity.
