Description
Habitat for Humanity, a global non-profit housing organization, works with volunteers to run ‘Project Home Works’, that seeks to improve home environments and sanitation while building community spirit and hope. The families that partner with us are often elderly or disabled, without a support network, living in public housing estates with government assistance as their only means of income. We coordinate with social services and/or local NGOs to identify the most vulnerable, and Habitat volunteers then work alongside a skilled contractor to create a decent place to live.
Work to be conducted by Volunteers:
• Take the agreement of the home partner before decluttering the old stuff.
• Tidying up and reorganizing interior space
****An experienced domestic worker and the staff from Habitat for Humanity will provide guidance
