Secondhand Pop-up Shop: The environmental charity Redress is running a shop in Sham Shui Po to resell a small portion of the unwanted clothes collected from the community to contribute to the circular economy in Hong Kong and reduce the amount of clothing waste going to landfill.
What You Will Be Doing:
1. In the back-of-house area:
- Hanging, ironing and steaming clothes
- Organising clothes on different rails
2. On the shop floor:
- Replenishing and tidying up the shop floor
- Welcoming customers and direct them to the different areas of the shop (e.g. fitting room)
Remarks:
1. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age
2. Please dress casually with closed-toe shoes and bring your own bottle of water
3. Redress staff may take photos to record the activity for the purpose of sharing and promoting the charity's work. Please inform a staff member on-site if you are uncomfortable with being photographed.
