Description

Offer underprivileged kindergarten students English lessons (total 9 months, min. of 40 hours). Teach English to underprivileged kindergarten students. Dates: 1 Sept 2025 - 30 Jun 2026 (every Thursday) . Deliver a 45 - 60 minute lesson on a weekly basis for a minimum of 40 hours. Around 8 students per session, around 5-6 years old and are from families who are living in sub-divided flats. Volunteers have to be based in Hong Kong

Project Reach is Hong Kong's first initiative to empower kindergartens and community centres with data, technology, and premier education programs, specifically designed to bridge the English proficiency gap for underserved kindergarten students entering Primary 1. Partnering with kindergartens andcommunity centers locating in some of the poorest districts in Hong Kong, ProjectReach provides high-equality, weekly English programme designed to bridge theEnglish proficiency gaps of these children. The program is developed by educators trained at Columbia and Harvard, with twenty years of teaching experience in Hong Kong. All educational curriculum and class materials will be provided; however, we encourage our volunteers to co-develop the content together. Training will also be provided if needed.
