Description
"Generation Connect Program" provides a sensory Yum Cha experience for the elderly, aimed at fostering interaction between volunteers and the elderly, allowing everyone to enjoy delicious food and strengthen friendships in a relaxed atmosphere. The event will feature traditional teaware arrangements, enabling seniors to feel a sense of nostalgia through visual and sensory experiences. Volunteers will actively engage with the elderly, encouraging them to share their previous stories, and helping them to rediscover wonderful memories and feel cared for, thereby promoting social interaction.
Volunteer Roles
Welcome the elderly when they arrive and assist them in taking their seats.
During the event, volunteers will help serve dim sum to the elderly.
Actively engage in conversation with the elderly to enjoy the event together.
Volunteers will take photos of the elderly to capture memories.
This activity welcomes families to sign up.The guardian should sign up to this activity (after registering with HandsOn Hong Kong) and then (1) sign up your child to the activity (after registering with HandsOn Hong Kong) or (2) send an email to hohk@handsonhongkong.org. Please note the minimum age for a child to join is above 6.

Due to limited food available for tasting, volunteers are kindly requested to have lunch before the event
All volunteers who attend this activity must be registered with HandsOn Hong Kong. If you wish to have a friend or family member join you on this activity, they must first register with HandsOn and sign up for activity.
